Fake Amazon Delivery Man Leads Armed Home Invasion
Police said the fake delivery man said he required a signature for a package.

NEWBURGH, NY — Several men with weapons pushed their way into a town of Newburgh home Wednesday after one of them pretended to be delivering a package from Amazon.
The Town of Newburgh Police Department said around 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, a resident of a Fletcher Drive home in Newburgh answered a knock at the door.
A man wearing an Amazon vest and holding a package was outside. He said he had a package that required a signature.

When the resident opened the door, the man pushed his way in displaying a firearm.
Police said at least three other people, with guns and masks, entered the house.

They gathered all the residents together, demanded money and put them in the basement.
The suspects fled the scene before the police arrived.
Police said no injuries were reported.
The investigation is active and ongoing. Anyone with any information or anyone in the area who might have seen something is asked to call the Town of Newburgh Police at 845-564-1100.
