Home Health Aide Accused Of Stealing $14K From Hudson Valley Client

Authorities said the victim, who lives in Rosendale, also lost jewelry and prescription drugs.

ROSEDALE, NY — A home health aide was accused of stealing about $14,000 from a client.

The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office said Jacki Yenzer, 58, of Plattekill, was charged Tuesday with third-degree grand larceny.

The sheriff’s office said, on Nov. 24, detectives were notified of a past theft in which Yenzer is said to have stolen about $14,000 in cash, various jewelry and prescription medication from the victim’s Rosendale home over a period of time while she worked as a home health aide.

On Tuesday, Yenzer was arrested and later released with an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Rosedale Court at date to be scheduled.

Detectives were assisted in the investigation by members of the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
