The other vehicle involved in the collision was driven by Anthony Jones, 24, of Walden.

Police said he was treated for complaints of pain at a local hospital and was released.

The investigation, conducted by state police and the Orange County District Attorney's Office, found the crash was the result of reckless and negligent actions by Jones and that he was responsible for causing the collision.

Prosecutors presented the case to an Orange County grand jury, resulting in a 14-count indictment.

The grand jury charged Jones with several counts of second-degree manslaughter, second-degree assault and criminally negligent homicide, all felonies, and third-degree assault, a misdemeanor.

Jones was arrested Monday by state police.

He was arraigned Tuesday in Orange County Court and sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail, $50,000 partially secured bond or $100,000 bond.
