Prosecutors said the man was eavesdropping on the woman with whom he had an intimate relationship.
KINGSTON, NY — A Kingston man was accused of trying to kill a woman last June with whom he was intimate by pointing a gun at her head that jammed instead of firing.
The Ulster County District Attorney’s office said Michael D. Ector, 61, of Kingston, was arrested and arraigned Friday on several felony charges, including second-degree attempted murder, first-degree attempted assault, seven counts of eavesdropping and two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, the Poughkeepsie Journal reported.
He was sent to jail without bail, authorities said.
