Man In Poughkeepsie Accused Of Selling Drugs

Authorities said the search of a home on Weed Street yielded crack cocaine and cash.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A search warrant executed in the city of Poughkeepsie led to the seizure of drugs and money.

The Dutchess County Drug Task Force said Raymond White, 46, was arrested after the Dec. 2 search.

He was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, a felony.

The task force said the search warrant was executed on Weed Street in the city of Poughkeepsie and resulted in the seizure of a quantity of crack cocaine and United States currency.

Authorities said there was an ongoing investigation into narcotics sales in that area.

White was arraigned in the City of Poughkeepsie Court and sent to the Dutchess County Jail. He later posted bail and was released.

The task force was assisted by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office K-9 and Emergency Services Unit and the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office.
