Metro-North Operating On Modified Schedules Tuesday
People using the trains should consider building in additional travel time, the railroad said.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Metro-North Railroad is operating Tuesday on modified schedules, affecting the Hudson, Harlem and New Haven lines.
According to the MTA, there will be some changes to rush hour and branch line service to optimize the reliability of the system because of the snowstorm.
Commuters should check mta.info and the TrainTime app for more detailed information about the changes and any other weather-related service changes or delays.

The MTA said its crews are responding to possible impacts to the system, such as slippery platforms and staircases, fallen trees and frozen switches.

On the Hudson Line, the 7:57 a.m. from Poughkeepsie to Grand Central is operating 55 to 60 minutes late because of a mechanical issue at Poughkeepsie.
Also, rail service in and out of Penn Station New York is subject to up to 60-minute delays due to fire department activity in one of the Hudson River tunnels.
