More Than 4,000 Central Hudson Customers Without Power Thursday

NYSEG is reporting more than 1,800 of their customers in Ulster County are without electricity.

MID-HUDSON VALLEY, NY — More than 4,000 Central Hudson electricity customers are waiting for the lights to come back on Thursday morning due to the heavy winds and rain that tore through the region overnight.

As of 9:30 a.m., there are more than 430 customers without electricity in Dutchess County, 130 in Orange County, 160 in Sullivan County and 3,400 in Ulster County, which is the hardest hit.

In Ulster County, the most outages are in Shawangunk, which has 990. Woodstock has 741, Rochester with 640, Olive with 363 and Saugerties with 160.

Except for Shawangunk, which has an estimated restoration time of 12:30 p.m. Thursday, all other locations are pending, according to Central Hudson.

NYSEG said more than 1,800 customers in Shandaken, with restoration time still being assessed.

There are a handful of outages for NYSEG customers in the town of Dover.
