Motorcyclist Had Loaded Handgun, Magazines On Highway: State Police
Police lodged charges after a traffic stop on Interstate 87, according to state police.

CLARKSTOWN, NY — A motorcyclist is accused of illegally possessing a loaded handgun and suspected narcotics after a traffic stop Tuesday.
Stephen D. Flynn, 30, of Utica, was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a controlled substance, following too closely, unlicensed operation, and failure to signal a lane change.
State police said they pulled Flynn’s Harley-Davidson over Tuesday on I-87 northbound in Clarkstown. Flynn didn’t have a valid Class M license or permit, according to police.

Troopers found a loaded Glock 43 9mm pistol, which included one round chambered and two fully loaded magazines, inside a bag attached to the handlebars, according to police. Flynn doesn’t have a New York state pistol permit, police said. According to police, troopers also found a red metal snorting device containing a small quantity of suspected cocaine.
The investigation is ongoing.
