Pedestrian Struck, Killed By Amtrak Train In Hudson Valley

The train was coming down from Albany on Saturday.

HYDE PARK, NY — A pedestrian was killed Saturday after being struck by an Amtrak train.

Amtrak’s train 238 was traveling south from Albany to New York when it hit a person who was trespassing on the track south of Rhinebeck shortly after 1 p.m., Mid Hudson News reported.

There were no reported injuries to the 237 passengers and crew who were on board at the time.
