Poughkeepsie Man Sells Drugs Out Of Home Near College: Police

Authorities said drugs and cash were seized during a search of the man's apartment.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — A town of Poughkeepsie man was accused of selling drugs from his home which is near Dutchess Community College.

The Dutchess County Drug Task Force said Charles Faircloth, 77, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested and charged Thursday with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony.

Task Force agents executed a search warrant at Faircloth’s Pendell Commons apartment which is in close proximity to Dutchess Community College.

Authorities said they seized narcotics and United States currency as a result of the investigation.

Faircloth was ordered to appear in the Town of Poughkeepsie Justice Court Monday for arraignment.

The Task Force was assisted by the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Bureau.
