RI Man Caught With Cocaine On Thruway: NYSP
A probable cause search of the car yielded more than 1,035 grams of cocaine, police said.
ULSTER, NY — A Rhode Island man was accused of having more than 2 pounds of cocaine during a traffic stop on the Thruway.
The New York State Police said, around 5:15 p.m. Monday, troopers said they saw a 2015 Nissan Altima traveling north on Interstate 87 in the town of Ulster in violation of state vehicle and traffic law.
Troopers stopped the car and identified the driver as Lloyd Craig, 35, of Providence, Rhode Island.

A probable cause search of the car yielded more than 1,035 grams of cocaine, police said.
Craig was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, intent to sell, all felonies.

He was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of bail.
