Riley Declares Victory In 19th CD Democratic Primary
The Associated Press called the race for Riley at 10:47 p.m. Tuesday.

ITHACA, NY — Voters went to the polls Tuesday to decide who will run on the Democratic Party line in the November election to represent residents of the newly redrawn 19th Congressional District.
Josh Riley, D-Ithaca, has declared victory over Jaime Cheney, D-Millerton.
NBC News declared Riley the winner earlier in the evening, and the AP called the race at 10:47 p.m.

With 574 election districts reporting out of 850, according to the state Board of Elections, Riley has 63 percent of the vote to Cheney's 34 percent.
Riley is an attorney, who clerked in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in California and served as a U.S. Department of Labor policy analyst.

Cheney is the founder of Prokanga and owner/operator of Falcon's Fields.
Riley will face Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro in the November general election.
The new 19th Congressional District will include Broome, Tioga, Chenango, Delaware, Greene, Sullivan and Columbia counties, as well as part of Ulster and Otsego counties.
