South Carolina Men Accused Of Having Illegal Weapons

The men were arrested after a traffic stop on Myers Corners Road in the town of Wappinger.

WAPPINGER, NY — Two South Carolina men were arrested after being accused of having illegal weapons, including a 9mm handgun.

Around 9:45 p.m Saturday, the New York State Police stopped a 2011 Ford F150 on Myers Corners Road in the town of Wappinger for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law.

An investigation found that Stephen Bauch, 31, of Green Sea, South Carolina, was in illegal possession of a SCCY Firearms 9mm handgun, and Ronald Marlow, 41, of Loris, South Carolina, was in possession of metal knuckles, police said.

Bauch was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of a firearm, felonies.

Marlowe was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Wappinger Court Dec. 27.

Bauch was arraigned in the Village of Wappingers Falls and sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail or $75,000 bond.
