Sullivan County Man Accused Of Child Rape

The New York State Police, in connection with the Sullivan County Child Abuse Unit, announced the arrest.

THOMPSON, NY — A Sullivan County resident was arrested after being accused of raping a child.

The New York State Police, in connection with the Sullivan County Child Abuse Unit, said Monday Hummler Colas, 49, of Thompson, was arrested and charged with third-degree rape and third-degree criminal sex act, felonies, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

He was arraigned in the Town of Mamakating Court and sent to the Sullivan County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bail, $60,000 secure bond or $120,000 partially secure bond.
