Sullivan Man Killed In 2-Vehicle Crash
Police said the man was trying to pass another car when the crash happened.
HIGHLAND, NY — A Sullivan County man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Saturday in the town of Highland.
The New York State Police said, shortly before 2 p.m. Saturday, troopers were sent to Route 97 in the Highland for a report of a crash involving an SUV and a pick-up truck.
A preliminary investigation found that a 2000 Chevy Blazer, driven by Jeffrey F. Zimmer, 45, of Narrowsburg, was going south on Route 97 and was passing another car.

Police said, as he attempted to pass, Zimmer struck a 2008 Toyota Tacoma that was going north on Route 97.
Zimmer was ejected from his SUV and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The driver of the pick-up was not injured.
