Sullivan Woman Accused Of Stealing SUV, Debit Card

Police said the woman had originally been given permission to use the vehicle and debit card to help out the owner, who was in the hospital.

LIVINGTON MANOR, NY — A Sullivan County woman was accused of stealing a car and using someone else’s credit card.

The New York State Police said Miranda J. Stickle, 27, of Livingston Manor, was arrested Wednesday and charged with third- and fourth-degree grand larceny, felonies.

She was additionally charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and unlawful use of a credit card, misdemeanors.

Police said, on Sept. 28, troopers were contacted about a possible misuse of credit cards and a missing vehicle.

The investigation found that the victim was in the hospital for three months and gave Stickle permission to use her debit card to make purchases for her and to use her 2007 Black Nissan Pathfinder.

Police said the victim told them she had not heard from Stickle since July 19.

During the investigation, it was determined that Stickle made unauthorized charges using the victim’s debit car and was in possession of the SUV.

Around 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, troopers located Stickle at a home on Creamery Road in Livingston Manor.

At the time of her arrest, she was in possession of the Pathfinder.

Stickle was released on an appearance ticket, police said.
