Taconic Parkway Ramp To Close For Guide Rail Repairs

There will be a posted detour for motorists to follow, the DOT said.

EAST FISHKILL, NY — Repair work on Taconic State Parkway means a ramp will have to close.

The state Department of Transportation said the ramp from the Taconic State Parkway southbound to Exit 37A (Interstate 84 eastbound) in the town of East Fishkill will close between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28 to accommodate guide rail repairs, weather permitting.

Motorists should follow the posted detour utilizing Exit 35 (Miller Hill Road) to the Taconic State Parkway northbound to Exit 37A (Interstate 84 eastbound) as an alternate.

Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
