Taconic Parkway Ramp To Close For Maintenance

EAST FISHKILL, NY — A ramp from the Taconic State Parkway to Interstate 84 west in the town of East Fishkill will close for maintenance work.

The state Department of Transportation said the ramp from the parkway southbound to Exit 37B, which is I-84 westbound, in East Fishkill will close between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday to accommodate guide rail repairs, weather permitting.

Motorists should follow the posted detour utilizing Exit 37A, which is I-84 eastbound, to Exit 52B (Taconic State Parkway northbound) to Exit 37B as an alternate.

Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are double for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual's driver's license.
