Weekend Baseball Bat Attack On Main Street Leaves 42-Year-Old Victim Injured

City Of Poughkeepsie police have arrested two on felony charges in connection to a brutal beating on Saturday.

CITY OF POUGHKEEPSIE, NY — Police have arrested two in connection to a brutal attack downtown this weekend.

On Saturday, at 6:04 p.m., a 911 call came in reporting a disturbance on the 300 block of Main Street. Officers arriving at the scene found a 42-year-old man with injuries to the head, face, arms and back. Cops learned that the victim had been struck repeatedly with baseball bats, and the suspects had fled east on Main Street.

Police caught up with the suspects in the attack, later identified as 20-year-old Edward Hogan III and 33-year-old Jeremeal Robinson, at Main Street and Cherry Street. Both were taken into custody, and charged with felony assault, and felony criminal possession of a weapon.

After processing, the pair was held pending arraignment.
