Wind Advisory Issued For Parts Of Mid-Hudson Valley

MID-HUDSON VALLEY, NY — A wind advisory has been issued in advance of a strong cold front coming through the mid-Hudson Valley Wednesday.

The National Weather Service said the wind advisory is in effect from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday for Ulster and Dutchess counties.

The forecast calls for south winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph, shifting to the west early Wednesday evening.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Meteorologists said that, when the winds shift to the west early Wednesday evening, wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible.
