Cop's Gun Stolen In Hell's Kitchen Brawl, Police Say

An off-duty NYPD officer had his gun stolen during a brawl with four men outside a Hell's Kitchen deli early Friday, police said.

HELL'S KITCHEN, NY — An off-duty NYPD officer's gun was stolen after a fight broke out on a Hell's Kitchen street corner early Friday, according to police.

The 43-year-old cop and a friend started arguing with a group of four men about 4:30 a.m. outside a deli on the corner of West 51st Street and Ninth Avenue, police said.

The four men attacked the officer and his friend, both of whom where left bruised and cut on the face, an NYPD spokesperson said.

One man grabbed the cop's gun then the four jumped in a gray Dodge sedan and drove off down Ninth Avenue, said police.

The officer and his friend were both hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police had not announced any arrests as of Friday morning.
