Fire Ignites Midtown Holiday Market, 1 Hospitalized: FDNY
Firefighters got the blaze under control in an hour.

MIDTOWN, NY — A fire broke out in the holiday market in Herald Square early on Monday morning, seriously injuring one firefighter, the New York City Fire Department said.
According to the FDNY, the fire broke out just after 4 a.m. on Monday. Several booths were damaged, according to a report from amNewYork.
Sixty firefighters and emergency personnel responded to the blaze, and got the fire under control an hour later, the FDNY said.

The firefighter injured in the blaze was hospitalized in stable condition, officials said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
