MIDTOWN, NY — A 35-year-old man was shot to death in Hell's Kitchen this Saturday, New York City Police Department officials said. According to the NYPD, Sharief Jackson, 35, was shot on 49th Street between Eighth Avenue and Ninth Avenue at 2:54 a.m. on Saturday, just one block from his home. Emergency responders rushed Jackson, who had two gunshot wounds to his torso, to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue where he was later pronounced dead, police said.There are currently no arrests and the investigation is underway, police said.
