Man Pry Opens Sutton Place Building Door In Burglary: Police

Officials said nothing was taken from the East 54th Street building last month and the man left without taking anything.

SUTTON PLACE, NY — A man forced his way into a Sutton Place residential building last month but was thwarted by a second locked door, police said.

On Feb. 17 at about 10:20 p.m., a man dressed in a yellow sweatshirt pried open the front door of 311 East 54th St., near Second Avenue, according to police.

Upon gaining access without permission, the unidentified man found a second door which he was unable to open, police said.

The man fled without taking any property, according to officials.

Police released a photo of a person they claim is connected to the incident.
