MIDTOWN, NY — A man in need of a soothing massage instead summoned a mugger to his midtown hotel, according to police.

The 37-year-old requested online that a masseuse visit his room at the NH Collection Hotel Madison Avenue at 22 E. 38th St. last Tuesday about 12:50 a.m., police said.

The so-called masseuse arrived but, instead of digging into that deep tissue, pushed the man aside, snatched $300, and fled the hotel, police said.
