MoMA Stabbing Suspect Brags Of Attack As Search Continues
Gary Cabana, the patron accused of stabbing two MoMA employees, appears to be recounting his exploits on Instagram as he eludes arrest.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — The man accused of stabbing two employees at the Museum of Modern Art on Saturday continues to elude police — even as he brags of his exploits on social media and to news reporters.
Gary Cabana, 60, has been identified by police as the man who allegedly stabbed two MoMA workers Saturday afternoon after they denied him entry to the museum. Cabana's membership had been revoked the day prior due to two recent instances of "disorderly conduct" at the museum, police said.
Days later, police appear to have made no progress in apprehending Cabana — a Broadway usher whose mental health had deteriorated during the pandemic, according to a report by Gothamist.

Meanwhile, through Monday morning, Cabana had continued to post on an Instagram account identified by multiple outlets as belonging to him.
"Sadly there will be no more stabbings to entertain you," he wrote Monday morning, in response to a user who had commented on a previous post.

"If U want to see some FUN murderers go see CHICAGO THE MUSICAL on the Bway. Or go snorkeling with the NYPD divers who are frantically searching for the KNIFE that I threw off the BK Bridge on my way home to EBK."
On Sunday, police released surveillance footage showing the terrifying attack, seen below. (The footage may be disturbing.)
The New York Post reported Monday that Cabana had sent a message to one of its reporters, saying he "lost it" at the museum after one of the victims prevented him from seeing "The Starry Night" by Vincent Van Gogh.
The two 24-year-old victims, a man and a woman, were stabbed in the lower back, back of the neck, and collarbone. Both were taken to Bellevue Hospital with non-life-threatening wounds, police said.
