Child Hit By Sign Outside Madison Square Garden, Officials Say
The 6-year-old boy was taken to the hospital suffering minor injuries.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A child was hit by a falling street sign Wednesday afternoon outside of Madison Square Garden, an FDNY spokesman said.
The 6-year-old boy was struck in the head by the falling sign around 4:20 p.m. near West 32nd Street and Seventh Avenue, FDNY and NYPD officials said. The boy was transported from the scene to Bellevue Hospital, officials said.
The child suffered minor injuries and is expected to recover, an NYPD spokeswoman said. Officials are still investigating how the street sign fell of its post.
