Man Struck, Killed By Train At Bryant Park Station, MTA Says
Service changes were in effect on the 7 line as emergency responders operated at the Fifth Avenue and East 42nd Street station.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — A man died Tuesday evening after being hit by a train at the 7 train station underneath Bryant Park, transit officials announced.
The man, who could not be identified, was hit by a southbound train at the Fifth Avenue and East 42nd Street station at about 5:30 p.m., an NYPD spokesman said. Manhattan-bound trains on the 7 line were being held in Queens as first responders worked to remove the man from the station, transit officials said.
EMS pronounced the man dead at the scene, police said. Several firetrucks surrounded Bryant Park as emergency responders arrived at the scene, according to witness video posted by the Citizen app.

Investigators believe the victim may have been homeless, police sources said.
