Port Authority To Conduct Emergency Drill Saturday, Police Say

The drill will include a simulated explosion, officials said.

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NY — If you see or hear what appears to be an emergency situation at the Port Authority Bus Terminal on Saturday, April 14, don't freak out. It's probably just a drill.

The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey will conduct a "full scale" emergency drill — complete with a simulated explosion — between the hours of 2-5 a.m. on Saturday, police said. The drill is expected to bring an increased presence of emergency responders to Eighth Avenue and West 42nd Street, police said.

Police did not say why the drill will be conducted Saturday morning.
