Here are the top three stories today in Miller Place-Rocky Point:

1. One person has been arrested in a rape that occurred at a home in Mastic Beach, but the suspect's name hasn't been released. Police said two men broke into a woman’s home last month and one sexually assaulted her. (News 12)
2. A new luxury development of 30 homes next Baiting Hollow Golf Club will begin building in the next few weeks. The developer of the community plans to produce as much energy as it consumes, netting zero carbon emissions after construction is completed. (Subscription: Newsday)
3. Two people were arrested for possessing an illegal ghost gun after the driver led New York State Police on a chase along the Northern State Parkway on Sunday morning. Police tried to pull over a speeding Nissan Altima on the Northern State Parkway near New Highway, in the Town of Smithtown, at 11:25 a.m. but the driver did not stop and eventually fled the car on foot on Sunken Meadow Parkway. Two passengers, Patrice Gordon, 25, of Selden, and Landre Simmons, 39, of North Babylon, were taken into custody. (Patch)
