1. The New York State Department of Health said a study found the number of people with cancer in Northport-East Northport School District was "statistically significant." The district was investigated after six students from the class of 2016 reported leukemia. (NBC New York)
2. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers are looking for a man who police said stole a wallet in Lake Grove in May. Police said he stole a wallet containing credit cards from a shopping cart inside Trader Joe's, at 2085 Moriches Road, at 12:30 p.m. on May 19. (Patch)
3. On June 23, the Town of Brookhaven’s 451-TOWN Call Center reached a milestone of 2 million calls. Begun in 2007, the services allow residents to call one phone number to access non-emergency government information and services. (TBR News Media)
