Dangers of Drugs Topic of Community Forum

Rocky Point school officials will discuss results of a recent student survey at the meeting.

To combat what the district said they recognize as an ongoing concern in local communities, the Rocky Point School District will host a Drug-Free Community Forum.

The event includes an overview of the district’s past and current efforts to combat the issue, results of a recent student survey and focus group conversations. Keynote speakers include Father Frank, from Hope House Ministries and members of the Suffolk County police and sheriff’s department.

Parent of children in grades K-12 are encouraged to attend as well as students in grades 6-12, according to a school spokesperson.
