- Peggy Spellman Hoey reports that two men were injured in a drive-by shooting on Wednesday night in Coram. A 27-year-old man and a 40-year-old man were traveling westbound on Middle Country Road, near Winfield Davis Drive, in a 2004 Volkswagen Touareg and were shot from a passing car, not fatally. (Patch)
- News 12 Long Island reports that a deer was rescued after being stuck for 18 hours in Port Jefferson Station. The animal was stuck between a fence and a wall on its back at a house until an animal rescue group freed it. (News 12)
