Golfers: Is Playing 18 Holes No Longer Affordable?
Are golfers finding it hard to find the time and money to play 18 holes?

The weather is warm and the greens are rolling. It's the perfect time to hit the links, and Rolling Oaks in Rocky Point is one of the many courses on Long Island ready for the season.
In speaking with Rolling Oaks operations manager John Romashko Jr., he said he has noticed a change in golfers as many who used to take the time and spend the money to play 18 holes are now opting to just play nine instead. Romashko cites the economy with people working more and making less.
"We have some people that used to play 18 saying they can only play nine because they have to go to work, it’s part of the economy...it’s still bad," he said.
Miller Place-Rocky Point Patch wants to know: golfers, are you finding that playing 18 is no longer affordable? Are you working too much in order to invest the time that a full 18 holes can take? Is it just too expensive? We want your input. Tell us in the comments section below.
