1. Suffolk County police are asking the public to identify and locate the man who stole $455 merchandise from an Islandia Walmart, at 1850 Veterans Memorial Highway on March 31. The suspect fled in a Nissan sedan. (LongIsland.com)

The Suffolk County chapter of the Boy Scouts of America is selling its Medford headquarters for $1.9 million to settle lawsuits filed by sex-abuse victims against the national Boy Scouts and affiliates. 3. A new Mastic Beach barbecue restaurant opened last week. A father-son duo opened Smoke Shack BBQ at 490A Mastic Road. (Greater Long Island)

• The Shoreham-Wading River School District wrestling team members were honored by Town of Brookhaven Supervisor Ed Romaine and councilwoman Jane Bonner on May 26 for earning undefeated 2021 and 2022 League 7 championships.
