MIDDLE ISLAND, NY — A Central Islip man, who lost control of his Honda Civic while going southbound on Yaphank Middle Island Road in Middle Island, died over the weekend, Suffolk police said.

Majanosaravia’s car was impounded for a safety check, but it will take months before officers are able to determine if there was something wrong with the car and if that played a part in his death in the single-vehicle crash, which is being investigated by the Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives, according to a police spokesperson.

Patch reached out to the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner for a toxicology report, but was not able to get a response at this time.
