1. A Brooklyn man was arrested on Monday night for stabbing his grandfather to death in Mastic, according to Suffolk County Police. Christopher Clarke is accused of stabbing John Pilgrim, 80, at his home on Hounslow Road and then fleeing. (Patch)
2. A Mastic man was critically injured when his car struck a dump truck in Brookhaven on Monday morning. It happened at 6:25 a.m. on Montauk Highway, just east of South Country Road. Douglas Finney, 34, was airlifted to Stony Brook Hospital. (Patch)
3. For the second year in a row, Chubs in Farmingville was voted as having "Long Island's Best Burrito" in the Bethpage Best of Long Island awards. Chubs, at 625 Horseblock Road, has burritos with fillings like cheesy potato skins and marinated skirt steak. (Daily Voice)
