Here are the top three stories in Miller Place-Rocky Point today:

1. A 22-year-old Babylon man died in a Manorville crash on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
   Matthew Lightsey lost control of his vehicle between exits 69 and 68 of the Long Island Expressway, struck a bridge abutment, and rolled over. (Patch)
2. A 15-year-old Riverhead High School student was arrested Thursday for threatening violence at the school for the second day in a row. He was arrested and charged with one count of making a terroristic threat and transported to the Nassau County juvenile detention facility. (Patch)
3. Also on Thursday, a 13-year-old student at Westhampton Beach Middle School on Mill Road threatened to "shoot the school." The school reported it to the Westhampton Beach Village Police and the student was arrested. (Patch)

• The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation wants to hire around 500 lifeguards on Long Island. The available positions are at Montauk/Hither Hills, Wildwood, Orient, Jones Beach, Robert Moses, Heckscher & Sunken Meadow state parks. (Subscription: Newsday)
• Nextdoor Neighbor, Rustic Acres: "Looking for a carpenter for a small job but want references. I need a wall (interior) put up to make one bedroom into two bedroom. Also, a door must be hung. This room was originally two rooms. Heading and frame for door are under present sheetrock." (Nextdoor)
