Here are the top three stories in Miller Place-Rocky Point today:
- A new smoothie shop called Anona Shack opened at Heritage Park in Mount Sinai this summer. It's the first brick and mortar spot from the business that sells smoothies and coffee from a food truck. (LongIsland.com)
- Brookhaven Town reached an agreement with the unionized white-collar employees. The new 12-year contract ends two years of negotiations. Annual raises range from 2 to 3 percent for 10 years retroactive to Jan. 1. The town also agreed to drop a demand that employees extend the work day by half an hour. (Subscription: Newsday)
- Police are looking for a man who allegedly assaulted another person causing major injuries.
It happened in East Hampton on Saturday, June 18 near Atwell Steet and Muri Boulevard. (Daily Voice)
