1. During the pandemic, overdose deaths in Suffolk County soared, like in the rest of the country. Suffolk officials said there were 415 fatal overdoses in the county in 2021. (Subscription: Newsday)
2. Firefighters responded to a fire at a Terryville Ontario Street home just before 5 a.m. All of the residents were able to escape to safety. (Patch)
