Rocky Point Artisan Brewers to Raise a Celebratory Pint on Friday

Long Island's latest official addition to the craft beer scene, Rocky Point Artisan Brewers, will celebrate its , and Long Island Pulse's Niko Krommydas recently spoke with the three-man operation about how they started, how they see themselves, and, yes - cereal.

While RPAB is raising glasses this weekend to note the arrival of their brews in bars and on tap in some retail locations, the trio have been brewing together since 2008. Friday night starting at 7 p.m., the brewery's grand opening party is being held at .

Co-owner Mike Voigt told Pulse: “I got into brewing because of a love of beer. It was just something I thought I needed to do. As a way to understand beer from the inside out. Then I realized it was more than just a hobby."
