  1. A Wheatley Heights man has been charged with the murder of a Centereach man who was found dead in a wooded area in Rocky Point earlier this year. Glenn Seejattan was charged with second-degree murder for shooting Justin Lee, 34, whose body was found on Jan. 28, just west of Brookhaven Drive, near the North Shore Rail Trail. (Patch)
  2. The Northport VA could close its emergency room, shift medical and surgical services to local hospitals and move its residential rehabilitation program to Queens under a new proposal. Only inpatient mental health, residential nursing home care and rehabilitation medicine would remain in Northport. (Subscription: Newsday)
  3. Police are asking the public to help locate a woman accused of stealing about $350 worth of merchandise from a Long Island store. She stole two Craftsman toolsets from Lowe's in Commack at about 5:15 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 28. (Daily Voice)
