  1. A kitten dangling from a fence was rescued on Saturday by Strong Island Animal Rescue and Suffolk police. The kitten was stuck on Plymouth Avenue in Mount Sinai. (WABC-TV)
  2. Suffolk police arrested a Patchogue man and issued more than 100 summonses on Saturday for street racing. Approximately 300 people on Oval Drive in Islandia were found by police preparing to race. Nicolas Vaden was arrested for driving while ability impaired by drugs and resisting arrest. (News 12)
  3. Help from Peconic Land Trust and state funds means the Condzella family's Wading River farm will return to its stay farmland, 100 years after it was founded. The operation was 55 acres at its peak, but now only covers 15 acres. The $7.9 million land deal paid means some of the parcels the family sold off will be returned to the family to use as farm fields again. (Subscription: Newsday)
