Credit Card Skimming Devices Found At Several Nassau Stores: Police

Marius Adrian Dobre and Paul Mihaita Tudor were charged on Thursday afternoon.

NASSAU COUNTY, NY — Two men were arrested on Thursday in connection to illegal skimming devices placed in credit card terminals at multiple grocery stores across Nassau County, police said.

All devices were recovered before any personal information could be stolen, authorities said.

Marius Adrian Dobre, 27, a non-resident from Romania, and Paul Mihaita Tudor, 30 of Queens, were charged on Thursday afternoon.

Dobre faces second-degree unlawful possession skimming device, first-degree scheme to fraud and 14 counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.

Tudor faces two counts of second-degree unlawful possession skimming device and two counts of first-degree scheme to defraud. They were expected to be arraigned on Friday.
