Driver Strikes 2 Vehicles Before Crashing Into Mineola Building
An elderly woman was driving the wrong way on Jericho Turnpike before crashing into the business.

A wrong-way driver struck two vehicles and crashed into a Mineola business on Sunday evening.
According to authorities, a white Lexus struck the vehicles before completely crashing into photography studio Fade To Black New York, located at 132 Jericho Turnpike, at 6:31 p.m.
According to the studio owner, the female driver was 96 years old.

The Mineola Fire Department responded to the scene and extradited the driver from the vehicle and transported her to a local hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.
Two occupants from the vehicles were also evaluated; one was taken to a hospital in stable condition and the other was treated and released at the scene, according to Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

There were people inside the building at the time of the crash, but no injuries were reported, the owner said.
The business will re-open on Wednesday.
Earlier this evening ambulances 261 and 262 responded to a Car vs Building. Upon arrival, members found that an automobile had struck two other vehicles, then breached the wall of a local business and completely entered the structure. Mineola FD responded to extricate the driver and to shore up the wall. The driver was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. Two patients from the other vehicles were also evaluated, with one also having been transported in stable condition. The third patient was treated and released on scene.
