Girl Scout From Mineola Named Gold Award Recipient
Only 5.4 percent of eligible Girl Scouts successfully earn the award.

A Mineola resident is among 18 girls who were honored as Nassau County 2018 Girl Scout Gold Award recipients.
“I was honored to meet with this year’s Girl Scout Gold Award recipients,” Nassau County Executive Laura Curran said. “These are young ladies of exceptional courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.”

The Gold Award is the highest achievement within the Girls Scouts of USA. Only 5.4 percent of eligible Girl Scouts successfully earn the award. The award can be earned by Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts.
