Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Long Island
Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible Thursday. The evening commute may be impacted.

LONG ISLAND, NY — The National Weather Service has issued the following hazardous weather outlook for Long Island.
Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are possible during the afternoon and evening hours as a cold front passes through the area.
There's a chance of rain Tuesday morning, but it will likely hold off until the afternoon. The window from about 2-8 p.m. is when forecasters say rain and storms are most likely on the island.
Heavy rainfall is possible in any thunderstorms, but since they will be quick-moving storms, flash
flooding is not a threat, the weather service says.
