LI's Smallest Babies Get Halloween Costumes At Nassau County Hospital
Families of premature babies at NYU Langone's NICU are able to have their own Halloween festivities with an annual holiday event.

MINEOLA, NY — Some of Long Island's smallest and youngest newborn babies are able to dress up for Halloween at one Nassau hospital. An annual event at NYU Langone's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in Mineola allows families of premature babies and other babies in the NICU to dress up in tiny costumes.
Because some of the NICU babies are only two pounds, the costumes must be hand-made, the hospital said.
There's a very small Superman, candy corns and a little Cookie Monster. Around two dozen of the babies, in incubators, took part in the festivities.
