Mineola Crime Blotter: Identity Theft, Stolen Pills and Gas
Third Precinct police responded to the following calls December 17 – 23 in Mineola.

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department Third Precinct. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.
Mineola
Dec. 16: Police arrested a person on the corner of Second Street and Main Street on a charge of criminal possession of marijuana. Six partially burnt marijuana cigarettes and one clear plastic bag containing marijuana were found at the scene.
Dec. 17: An iPad was stolen on Roselle Street between 6 p.m. and 7:20 p.m.
Dec. 17: Cases of identity theft was reported on White Road at 6:55 p.m. when several unauthorized transactions were made in the victim's name. Money was also withdrawn from a Violet Avenue victim's checking account at 7:31 p.m. A third case was reported as having occurred between Dec. 1 and Dec. 17 on Jericho Turnpike involving a debit card in the victim's name.
Dec. 19: Police arrested a person for criminal possession of a weapon at 12:10 p.m. on the corner of Main Street and Third Street. A gravity knife was found on their possession.
Dec. 21: A pocketbook containing credit cards was stolen on Windsor Avenue between 12:25 p.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Williston Park
Nov. 21: A case of identity theft was reported for an unauthorized debit card transaction on Campbell Avenue.
New Hyde Park
Dec. 17: Assorted jewelry was stolen from a location on Union Turnpike in North New Hyde Park at 2:30 p.m.
Dec. 19: Gasoline was reported stolen from a location on Hillside Avenue in North New Hyde Park at10:15 a.m.
Dec. 21: Police arrested a person on Hillside Avenue at 1 p.m. on forgery charges. A fake New York State Benefit ID card was found in their possession.
Dec. 22: A brown wristlet containing credit cards and a license was stolen at Old Navy at 697 Hillside Ave. at 4:30 p.m.
Dec. 23: an iPhone was stolen from a location on Hillside Avenue between 10:30 a.m. and 12 p.m.
Garden City Park
Dec. 12: A case of identity theft was reported on Dyckman Avenue when the victim had money withdrawn from their checking account.
Dec. 18: A wooden door and door jam/ moulding was found damaged at a home on Hillside Drive South at 8 p.m.
Herricks
Dec. 19: A total of 93 pills of Alprazolam were stolen from 104 Mayflower Drive at 10:45 p.m.
