Chaminade High School Grad Gets Mets Win At Spring Training
Joe Suozzi's father, Rep. Tom Suozzi, was there for his son's big moment, a report said.
MINEOLA, NY —It looks like Joe Suozzi, a Chaminade High School graduate and son of Rep. Tom Suozzi, is going to be a star.
The official website for Major League Baseball shared a video of Suozzi, 26, earning a 6-5 win for the New York Mets against the Houston Astros with a walk-off home run at spring training.
Suozzi was born in Glen Cove and graduated from Boston College. He played in the Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets last year before being assigned to the New York Mets for the majors.

The 26-year-old's father, who has served as the U.S. representative for New York's 3rd congressional district since 2024 and previously from 2017 to 2023, was at the game for his son's big moment, News12 Long Island reported.
